Just a few steps away from our four camping pods is The Byre.
It’s home to a range of facilities for our guests to use:
- a kitchen area for basic food preparation, with kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery and two ring stove
- a dining table and chairs
- a seating area around a log-burning stove and
- two toilets and two showers.
Breakfast facilities
We provide supplies for you to make a simple breakfast. On offer will be cereal and oats (for porridge), bread (for toast), butter, jam/marmalade, fruit juice, and a piece of fruit for each guest. The Byre is also stocked with tea and coffee for guests to use.
If you need to buy extra supplies, Tesco and Aldi stores are about one mile from us in Camelon.

Sandra Morrison from Spoke ‘n’ Boot says: “In The Byre, our social area, you can relax by the log-burning stove, read a book, play games, listen to music, enjoy a nightcap and have a wee dance if you fancy!
“A great place for a chat with other guests who are stopping off for the night, and opportunities to meet like-minded people and share camping and touring stories and have some fun!”

Bike lock-up / Barbecue area
There’s a lock-up area for bikes and motorbikes.
Spoke ‘n’ Boot also has a BBQ area next door to the Byre, with a table to allow self-catering alfresco dining. (And if you’d rather not cook, there are lots of great places nearby to eat and drink.)
